Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also sings. She's the smallest woman and also the first woman to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka is a new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She is both the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing between London and New Delhi. Her debut concert was on stage in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. Later the same year, in Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in the year 1999.
